So how is my sports challenge going? I have to admit: not so good. I hate to admit I’ve failed so far, but there are no other words for it. Yes I’ve been running every week. But only once a week or maybe twice a week. Not three times a week. Of course I could blame the fall weather, but I also have to blame myself. Last summer I didn’t mind running when it was raining. Okay: it was about or above 20 degrees and raining. Now it’s under 20 degrees and raining and that does not motivate me. But I’ve also been lazy. When I get home from a long day of work I just want to prepare a nice meal and relax. I have however been doing a lot of exercises for my muscles! And I have been eating very, very healthy. I’ve always eaten very healthy but for the past few weeks I have cut back on the artificial sugar etc. Today was the first time I had a weak moment and bought some candy. So yeah, that is going pretty well. But that was not the challenge, right?
So here’s what I am going to do. I’m going to tell myself to run twice a week instead of three times a week. Hopefully this will work and once I get running back in my systems I will probably start to run more myself. Because I do notice a change in my overall condition if I run. I feel better, I’m not breathless after every little thing I do and I also feel a lot thinner . Stupid I know, but when I work out I feel much more confident even if I’m not losing any weight.. and I do not run or eat healthy to loose weight. I run for my overall health and condition and I eat healthy because it is good for my body and because I really enjoy it.
