Of course you can go to the store and buy pastasauce. But why buy it if you can make it yourself super fast? And if making it yourself is healthier and tastes much better? I already shared a recipe for one of my favorite homemade sauces back in November but last week I tried something different and it tasted amazing. The minute I tasted it I knew I had to share it, so I took some photos of the sauce. Photographing a sauce isn’t that easy BTW! This homemade pasta sauce tastes amazing and is made very fast, almost as fast as heating up some sauce from the store!
Here is my recipe for homemade pasta sauce.
Ingredients for 1-2 servings
200 gr cherry tomatoes
1 medium sized onion
5-6 garlic gloves
Fresh salt and pepper
Extra vierge olive oil
Cut the onion into small pieces and put a small amount of olive oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot you can add the onion. In the meantime peel the garlic cloves and blend them (with a blender or hand blender) with the cherry tomatoes until you have a pretty smooth substance. I used about six cloves, but I like garlic in my sauce a lot. If you are not a big fan of garlic start by putting in two gloves, taste it and add more if you want. Once the onions are shiny you can add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan and the garlic-tomato mix. Mix everything together and let your sauce get hot. Add fresh salt and pepper to taste and you are ready.
I combined the sauce with fusilli, a hamburger from the grill and spinach. Once the sauce was ready I put it in a hot bowl and baked the spinach in the same pan for some extra flavour. Eet smakelijk!
Ziet er lekker uit. Ik maak ook zelf szuce
Ik maak pastasaus ook altijd zelf. Ik vind het uit een potje/pakje ook lang niet zo lekker.
looks yummy! 🙂
