I really enjoy a good guacemole with some toast, chips or as a side dish. But let’s be honest: the premade guacamole you buy at the store doesn’t taste that good. But why would you buy premade if making it yourself only takes five to ten minutes and is way more tasty? Here is the super easy and fast “recipe” for my favorite way to make guacamole.
Ingredients for guacamole
Two (ripe) avacado’s
One normal tomato
Half an onion
One garlic clove
A handfull of cilantro
Start by removing the pits from the avocado and mash it up with a fork. If your avocado is ripe this should go pretty easy. Cut the tomato and onion into small pieces and mix them with the avocado. Cut the garlic glove very finely and add it as well. Chop up the cilantro and add it with the juice of a lemon. Mix very well and mash it up a little bit more with a fork. I like my guacamole to be a bit chunky but if you want it smoother simply cut the tomato and onion into finer pieces or blend the whole mixture. Easy as that! Enjoy.
Tip: Do you want to save it in the fridge? To prevent the avocado from turning brown add some water on top of the mixture, but some foil over it and remove the water once you want to use it!
