The last two days it finally looked like the end of spring. It was warm, not too hot but warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Days like that make me long for refreshing summer drinks. I already wrote a little bit a refreshing summer drink last year. Back then my favorite combo was lemon and strawberries, but when I got home yesterday I tried something new. I put just lemon and cucumber in my can of water. And it is delicious! The sourness of the lemon and the freshness of the cucumeber combine perfectly and give you a drink that is perfect for those warm days. Here is the super easy and fast recipe for my new favorite refreshing summer drink.
Ingredients for about two litres
Find a big water can and add ice to it. I have a round stick you can put in the fridge that goes in the middle of my can. Super easy, because this way the taste of your drink won’t get more watery because of melting icecubes. Cut your lemon and half of a cucumber into thin half rounds. Add them to the can and fill the can up with water. Put in the refrigerator for at least an hour and your refreshing summer drink is ready. If you think it’s too sour add some more cucumber, if you think it’s too fresh just add some more lemon. Easy as that!
If you run out of water (which I within an hour) add some more water to your can. As long as your lemon and cucumber is still fresh you can add water as many times as you want.
